Dogs listen. In fact, she’s quite sure that was why they’re called “man’s best friend.” A relationship built through hours and hours of work meant that Sedge would obey any order she understood; it was reassuring, and slightly terrifying at the same time, and Elizabeth had sworn to never abuse that trust.
Now, arms crossed, eyebrow lifted, she wishes she could drill a little of that obedience into the sheepish man standing in front of her. She doesn’t have to say anything; the partially demolished rooms behind her say enough.
